Euphemisms for "died"

Since my parents have always detested the phrase "passed away" and threatened post-mortem retribution if this phrase is used in their obituaries, I thought I'd survey some of the euphemisms employed in the local obituaries for "died".

"passed away" (by far the most common substitution)
"returned to her Heavenly Father"
"entered into rest"
"unexpectedly departed this life"
"entered into eternal rest"
"joined his Heavenly Father"
"went to be with the Lord" (this one on a Sunday, ironically)
"passed from this life"
"passed away to her eternal reward"

Finally, this tearjerker is from a recent tragedy where two young girls (ages 4 and 5) were killed, walking together, by a hit and run driver. The S.O.B. was later arrested thank goodness.
"The girls celebrated this life hand in hand and departed this life hand in hand."

Favorite drink

The $12 espresso martini at the Red Inn. More than yummy, it's potent.

Robert Plant & Allison Krauss

Nice concert. Walter liked it more than I. The sound in Rupp Arena is fine on subtle numbers but turns rockers into a thundering, flat mess. To be honest, I thought the Zep reworkings were a bit too precious and overwrought. Just a bit though.

I agree with Walter the best song was "the sterling Gene Clark weeper Through the Morning, Through the Night." This was a performance for the ages. Superb.

Does anyone have a purer voice than Krauss? Doubt it.

Summary:
Wonderful eclectic set list.
Virtuoso backup band.
Fine performances.
Crappy venue.

Perfect pop song

Perfect composition. Perfect performance. Perfect guitar riff and vocal harmonies. Perfect recording. 2' 53" of perfection. Even the drum fills are perfect.

They make it look easy but they are lip-syncing to the record, which is, (see above) perfect.

At this point in their career I think the camaraderie and smiles are still genuine.

Vital data

It's comforting to know important info like this is compiled and available on the internet. Otherwise, how would we keep on rockin' in the free world?
