Here is a site called Intrade which is a real market that trades in events (e.g. chances of one candidate winning) rather than stocks. It's where people put up real money and therefore, unlike polling, might have some real predictive power. It's easy to say "I think X is going to win the presidency" but would you bet real money on it? I found this site through a beta site featuring the infamous Henry Blodget called ClusterStock. It has been a good and sometimes funny way to keep up with the financial crisis. Blodget might be disgraced, even reviled, after the dot-com burst but he is entertaining and knowledgeable.
